To check wheter which version of Windows is installed on that shiny little x64 box with 64 Processors and 4 TB of RAM, you should start the msinfo32 and watch for "Systemtype": and x86 is clearly an 32 bit Windows Installation, while an x64 or ia64 means that you're running on 64 bit.
