{"id":986,"date":"2014-12-12T09:54:01","date_gmt":"2014-12-12T07:54:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nico-maas.de\/wordpress\/?p=986"},"modified":"2014-12-12T09:54:01","modified_gmt":"2014-12-12T07:54:01","slug":"update-hp-procurve-via-xmodem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nico-maas.de\/?p=986","title":{"rendered":"Update HP Procurve via XModem"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I got an old HP Procurve Switch and wanted to upgrade the firmware.<br \/>\nAfter booting the switch, we configure the serial link to an Baudrate of 115200, so we won't have to wait all-night for the update to finish. <\/p>\n<p><code><br \/>\nconfig<br \/>\nconsole baud-rate 115200<br \/>\nexit<br \/>\nwrite memory<br \/>\nreload<br \/>\n<\/code><\/p>\n<p>After reloading the switch and configuring our terminal software to 115200 baud, we can start the XModem Upload via:<\/p>\n<p><code><br \/>\ncopy xmodem flash primary<br \/>\n<\/code><\/p>\n<p>After that command, the switch waits for an XModem datatransfer to beginn.
